Kendra Jenkins, CFNP

Kendra graduated from Texas A&M with her Masters of Science in Nursing. She is licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing and is Board Certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. While completing her family nurse practitioner program, Kendra worked as a RN in the neonatal intensive care unit.

Gabriella Vilallba, CFNP

Gabriela graduated from Texas A&M University with a Masters of Science in Nursing in 2010. She is licensed by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners and Board Certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Gabriela was a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nurse for 9 years. She has practiced as a nurse practitioner for 5 years in pediatrics and 2 years in obstetrics and gynecology. Gabriela is passionate about helping children with special needs and providing parent education. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and children. Her favorite hobby is to collect Christmas ornaments from her world travels.

Luis Nistal, PA

Luis was born in Mexico City and graduated medical school from UNAM. He received his Physician Assistant License from University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio. Luis has been a San Antonio resident for 30 years. The past 12 years he has worked a Physician Assistant, 9 years as Family PA, and 3 years as a Pediatric PA. Luis is fluent in Spanish and English with knowledge in Japanese, Hebrew and sign language. His hobbies consist of Japanese archery, Japanese swordsmanship, scuba diving, and Origami.

Jeremy Barnhart, PA

Jeremy Barnhart is a certified Physician Assistant, and a retired US Army Combat Medic. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Originally from the Kansas City, Missouri area, Jeremy and his wife Katrina and their four children live in Boerne, TX. He enjoys watching Kansas City Chiefs football, traveling, cooking, scuba diving, saltwater aquariums, and fly fishing

 

 

Patricia Helmick, CFNP

Patricia is a native to the Corpus Christi area, she was born and raised in the Calallen area.  She has accomplished a BSN of nursing and was obtained through the University of Texas at Arlington as well as her Family Nurse Practitioner.  Patricia has been in healthcare for close to twenty years in which 14 of those years were spent in Neonatology.  Seven years were dedicated to the growth and development of a  63 bed neonatal department/unit in the Rio Grande Valley.  Patricia is licensed by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners and board certified through the ANCC.  Patricia has dedicated her career to caring for the neonatal and pediatric populations, it is her passion and drive to bring high quality care to the babies and children of our community.

 

 

Margaret Doria CFNP

Margaret Doria is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and has been practicing in pediatric primary care since 2014. She is licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing and is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010 and Master of Science in Nursing in 2014. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she worked as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital. Margaret believes that she has found her passion in caring for children. She also enjoys music, traveling, and exploring the outdoors.

Karen Meza, CFNP

Karen graduated from Simmons College with a Masters of Science in Nursing. She is licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing and is Board Certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Karen previously worked, for 3 years, as a Registered Nurse in Adult Orthopedics, Neurology and Trauma. Karen enjoys family time, traveling and caring for the pediatric population!

 

Brian Greening, CFNP

Brian Greening is a Family Nurse Practitioner who is licensed to practice nursing by the State of Texas and Territory of Guam with national certification through the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC). He is a native Texan who obtained his initial degree in Des Moines, IA prior to completing his Master’s of Nursing at Walden University. He has nearly 20 years of health care experience in a wide variety of settings but ultimately found that pediatrics and being able to provide compassionate, evidenced-based care was his life’s dream. Hobbies include scuba, World of Warcraft, cruising on the Harley, and spending time with friends and family.

Olivia Atkinson, CPNP

Olivia is originally from Louisiana.  She is a graduate from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center with BSN (2006) and MSN (2014).  She worked as PICU nurse for 8.5 years and PNP for 3 years at McLane Children’s Baylor Scott & White before joining Almouie Pediatrics.  Her hobbies include barrel racing, hunting, fishing and exercising.  She owns 4 dogs and 4 horses that she adores very much.  She is licensed by Texas BON and certified by Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.

 

 

Dorothy Garza, CPNP

Dorothy Garza graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University-College Station and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.  She worked over 10 years at Bay Area NICU, where she gained recognition as a Certified RN in Neonatal Intensive Care.  Dorothy received her Master’s degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Primary Care.  She is Certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and is licensed by the Texas State Board of Nursing.  In her free time, Dorothy enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys.

Jennifer Galindo, CFNP

Jennifer graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelors degree in Biology with a concentration in microbiology. She is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner obtaining her MSN from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. She is licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing and is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Jennifer worked as an RN for over 15 years in mostly critical care. She is married with 2 beautiful children and in her spare time enjoys traveling, cooking and live music.

Valerie Hobbs, CPNP

Valerie graduated from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio with a Master of Science in nursing. She is licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing and is certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. Prior to this, she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of the Incarnate Word and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Valerie has always had a passion for children and helping those in need. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she completed her lifelong dream of going on a medical mission trip, providing medical care to the children of rural Guatemala. She also worked as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Christus Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital of San Antonio. She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and family, traveling, and the outdoors.

Leslie Arnold, CFNP
